The new hotness. I found out about this guy on thesixtyone, a sort of digg/rpg game for indie and underground music. You should join, it’s fun. Justin turned me onto it yesterday, and it’s mega addictive. Tell the site that colemanm sent you, if you sign up (I might level up).

In other news, they’re reissuing Check Your Head as a collector’s edition at the end of the month, just like they did with Paul’s Boutique a few months ago. Supposedly, a reissue of Ill Communication is due out this summer, too.
The Beastie Boys’ masterpiece, Paul’s Boutique, has been reissued as a remastered 20th Anniversary edition.
There’s a website for the reissue, which includes a full album commentary track by the three Beasties. Includes reminiscing about the real Johnny Ryall as well as a story about the “vocal booth closet” in Matt Dike’s house in which both Tone Loc and Young MC had dropped their breakout hits.
